Justin Timberlake used to live with Ryan Gosling during 'Mickey Mouse Club' days
"The All-New Mickey Mouse Club," which aired on the Disney channel from 1989 to 1994, was a launching pad for some of the biggest pop stars and actors like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling.
In fact, Timberlake revealed in a recent interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" set to air on October 27, that he and Gosling briefly lived together during their time on the show.
Timberlake explained that his mother became Gosling's legal guardian for six months, according to Us Weekly. "His mother had to keep her job in Canada the second year that we were on the television show," Timberlake told DeGeneres. "We were probably a little closer that the rest of the kids that were on the show just because we had to share a bathroom."
The 30-year-old singer and actor said the two also got into some mischief on the set of the show. "We used to do terrible things. We thought we were so cool," Timberlake said. "Looking back on them, they weren't as bad as I thought they were at the time. We stole a golf cart. And we were like, 'Yeah, man. We're stealing a golf cart!'"
Timberlake said that is has been "hard to keep up" with Gosling but added, "he's always been that charismatic and that talented."
Gosling was nominated for an Oscar in 2007 for Best Actor and has had three high-profile films this year including "Drive" and "The Ides of March" with George Clooney. Timberlake has taken a break from music to concentrate on acting and received some positive notice for his role in the 2010 film Academy Award nominated film "The Social Network."
