Justin Timberlake announces 2nd '20/20 Experience' album, new tour dates
Justin Timberlake announced the release date of the second half of his album "The 20/20 Experience" in an eye-catching manner -- through an image on his Instagram account.
The "Mirrors" singer, who released a video of the reflective track in March, posted a picture of himself holding a guitar in a recording studio on Sunday. Beneath him, the following text was visible on a Samsung monitor: "The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) SEPT. 30th."
"I need to clear up a rumor," Timberlake told the audience during the album's release party at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on March 18.
The former 'N Sync frontman went on to reveal that his album's ten tracks, including the hit song "Suit & Tie," were only "the first half of the album."
"Those rumors are true," he said, but did not announce a release date at the time.
The first part of "The 20/20 Experience" reached number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 within its first week of release, garnering nearly one million sales. It is Timberlake's third solo album.
The 32-year-old singer will go on a North American tour this summer with rapper Jay-Z, as announced in February. The singer's official website also posted dates this week for an additional set of performances, The 20/20 Experience World Tour, which will commence in Montreal less than a month after part two of the album's release.
The current tour schedule includes more than 20 American cities, including Cleveland, Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Orlando, Denver and Seattle. There is no confirmation if any of the unreleased tracks will be performed at these concerts.
