Justin Bieber's new film about his life, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," is set to open in theaters across the United States on Friday.

The film depicts the 16-year-old's rise from street performer in Canada to a YouTube phenomenon to an international pop star.

Bieber is the protege of R&B singer Usher. He has collaborated with many music stars, such as Ludacris and Sean Kingston. He is so popular that he is often seen with scores of female fans following him around.

Check out a live web stream of the Los Angeles premiere of the movie, provided by studio Paramount Pictures. The main 2 ½-hour purple carpet event is set to begin on Tuesday, February 8, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
