Justin Bieber arrested on suspicion of drag racing, DUI
Justin Bieber has been arrested in Miami Beach on suspicion of drag racing and driving under the influence.
The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed the 19-year-old's arrest Thursday morning on Twitter.
Police say Bieber was drag racing in Miami Beach early Thursday. Police in Florida say the singer will be processed at the station and then transferred to the county jail.
The arrest comes as the singer continues to face accusations that he allegedly vandalized the house of his neighbor in Calabasas, Calif.
Police served him with a search warrant on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and said he was cooperative. He is accused of throwing eggs at his neighbor and 13-year-old daughter and is suspected of felony vandalism. Authorities estimated damage to the neighbor's home at approximately $20,000.
During that search, a member of his entourage, rapper Lil Za, was arrested on on suspicion of felony drug possession. Police said they believe Lil Za, who was said to be staying at Bieber's home, was in possession Ecstasy and the prescription anxiety medication Xanax. The substances have yet to be tested.
