Justin Bieber Tweets about woman who filed false paternity suit
Justin Bieber took to his Twitter account on April 21 to send a message out to Mariah Yeater, the woman who filed a false paternity suit in 2011 alleging the pop singer was the father of her baby.
"Dear mariah yeeter...we have never met...so from the heart i just wanted to say," the 18-year-old singer wrote with a link to a "Borat" clip featuring Sacha Baron Cohen as the titular character saying "You'll never get this."
Yeater dropped her paternity suit against the singer in November. The 20-year-old woman's son was born in July. She had filed her paternity lawsuit against Bieber on Oct. 31, 2011 at a San Diego court, saying that the two had a sexual encounter after one of the singer's concerts in Los Angeles in the fall of 2010.
Bieber had said in interviews he had never even met Yeater and that her "allegations" were not true.
The signer was recently spotted on the kiss cam with girlfriend Selena Gomez at a Los Angeles Lakers games on April 17. The pair were watching the Los Angeles Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs at the Los Angeles Staples Center.
"That was probably the most humiliating thing that has ever happened to me," Gomez said of the incident on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on April 20. "All of a sudden we're both looking up and we come on [the kiss cam screen] and it's like, oh, so awkward. It was so weird. I mean you have to kiss, right?"
Gomez and Bieber have been dating for over a year. They first sparked dating rumors in December 2010, when they were photographed at an IHOP in Philadelphia.
The following month, in January 2011, the two were photographed kissing and getting grabby in St. Lucia to ring in the New Year. After the pictures surfaced online, Gomez received death threats. In February, the two sparked rumors of an engagement when Gomez was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger. Her spokesperson denied the female singer had plans to wed.
