Julio Iglesias marries Miranda Rijnsburger after some 20 years

Julio Iglesias recently married longtime girlfriend Miranda Rijnsburger in a religious ceremony in southern Spain in front of their five children, his website says.

Iglesias, a 66-year-old Spanish singer and father of pop star Enrique Iglesias, who did not attend the wedding, and Rijnburger, a 44-year-old Dutch former model, have lived together for 20 years, the Spanish news agency EFE said.

"Miranda and I are happy to announce that we got married on August 24th in a private ceremony, with our five children present," read a message on the Spanish singer's official website. "The wedding took place in the parish of Virgin del Carmen of Marbella. After the religious ceremony, a thanksgiving mass took place in our private chapel."

Julio Iglesias, who has sold 300 million records worldwide, was married to journalist Isabel Preysler between 1971 and 1979 and their children are Enrique Iglesias, Julio Iglesias, Jr. and Maria Isabel, EFE said.

Julio Iglesias and his new bride own a ranch in Ojen, near the resort town of Marbella, but reside in Miami with their sons Miguel Alejando, 12; Rodrigo, 11 and Guillermo, 3, and their 9-year-old twin daughters, Victoria and Cristina.
