Julianne Moore to star as Sarah Palin in HBO film 'Game Change' - What do you think?
Julianne Moore is set to play Sarah Palin in a new HBO film about the 2008 election called "Game Change," the actress' spokesperson confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com parent company, KABC Television.
The film will be based on the book of the same name by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and will follow John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign from his choice of then Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a running mate on the Republican ticket to their defeat in the general election.
The made-for-TV film is set to be directed by Jay Roach, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Roach directed "Meet the Parents" and the HBO film "Recount," which was about the 2000 election and the Florida recount.
Moore guest starred on several episodes of the comedy "30 Rock" in 2010. The show is written by and stars Tina Fey, who famously portrayed Palin in several skits on "Saturday Night Live."
"The Kids Are All Right" star was recently named "Woman of the Year" by Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the drama troupe of Harvard University.
Meanwhile, Palin has had some back and forth words with comedian Kathy Griffin over Griffin jokes about her children Bristol and Willow.
