Julianne Moore makes debut as Sarah Palin in 'Game Change' trailer - what do you think?
Julianne Moore made her debut as Sarah Palin in the trailer for HBO's upcoming film about the 2008 election, "Game Change."
The film is based on the book of the same name by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and will follow John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign from his choice of then Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a running mate on the Republican ticket to their defeat in the general election.
The film is slated for release in March 2012 and stars Ed Harris as John McCain and Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt, McCain's campaign strategist.
Miley Cyrus' ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston will play Levi Johnston in the flick, while Melissa Farman, who appeared in three episodes of "Lost," will portray Bristol Palin.
The made-for-TV film was directed by Jay Roach, who helmed "Meet the Parents" and the HBO film "Recount," which was about the 2000 election and the Florida recount.
Moore guest starred on several episodes of the comedy "30 Rock" in 2010. The show is written by and stars Tina Fey, who famously portrayed Palin in several skits on "Saturday Night Live."
Earlier in the year, "The Kids Are All Right" star was named "Woman of the Year" by Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the drama troupe of Harvard University.
Palin and her family were once the subject of a reality series called "Sarah Palin's Alaska," which premiered in 2010 on TLC. The show followed the former vice presidential candidate's life and family in Wasilla, Alaska. Some of her adventures included hunting trips, Eskimo bingo, interacting with bears and a cross-over show camping trip Kate Gosselin of TLC's "Kate Plus 8" and her brood of kids.
