Julianne Hough denies engagement to Ryan Seacrest; Tweets about 'Footloose' remake
Former Dancing With the Stars professional Julianne Hough has been seen getting close with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. However, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the dancer turned actress denies the two of them are rushing down the aisle any time soon.
When asked about engagement rumors, Hough tells the Entertainment Tonight, "Well, that's news to me, and I think it's news to him."Hough meanwhile has been teasing her followers on Twitter about her role as Ariel Moore, the love interest in the upcoming Footloose remake, which she is currently filming.
"Another night shoot! Just finished and headed out now..." Hough wrote on September 25. "What a great scene... Remember the drive-in diner scene? Well you will now!! :) yay."
The dancer admits that a vacation in Italy she went on over the summer with Secrest took a toll on her waistline, telling Entertainment Tonight that her favorite part of the trip was, "eating, eating, eating, eating; I definitely had to get into shape for this movie after that little trip. But it was amazing!"
The new version of Footloose is set to hit theatres on April 1, with Kenny Wormald taking the role of Ren MacCormak (originally played by Kevin Bacon) opposite Hough. Dennis Quaid will play Reverend Shaw Moore, Ariel's strict father who was initially played by John Lithgow in the 1984 pop culture classic film.
Hough is set to make her big-screen debut in the film Burlesque, which is set to be released on November 24 and also stars Cher, Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming, and Eric Dane.
