"10 Things I Hate About You" and "Dexter" star Julia Stiles has signed on to costar in the Neil LaBute's comedic play "Fat Pig." The play, which also stars stand-up comedian Dane Cook in his Broadway debut, will begin previews on April 12 and is set to open on April 26, according to Playbill.com.

"We are extremely excited to be working with this astonishingly talented team and to have as our home, the newly renovated and stunning Belasco Theatre, one of Broadway's true gems," said producers Heather Provost and Aldo Scrofani in a statement to the site.

Stiles will play Jeannie, an ex-girlfriend of the play's lead character Tom (played by Josh Hamilton who starred with Stiles in "The Boune Identity"). Cook will play Carter, who mocks his friend Tom for dating an overweight woman named Helen.

At first Tom is happy to be dating the beautiful and bright Helen but "eventually the cruel jabs of his acerbic friend Carter and Jeannie, a former flame, force him to question his own values and the importance of conventional good looks," according to Playbill.

"Fat Pig" ran off-Broadway in 2004 and starred "Entourage" actor Jeremy Piven and Keri Russell of "Felicity". It also had productions in Los Angeles and London.

In December, Stiles denied rumors that she was responsible for the divorce of "Dexter" costars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter.

Stiles, 29, starred on the recent fifth season, which ended on Sunday, as Dexter's love interest - a rape survivor who enlisted his help in killing her attackers.

"I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer," Stiles said in a statement carried by People. "We are good friends and enjoyed working together. This is a personal matter between them, and we should respect their privacy."
