Joss Stone is Bond girl in video game 'James Bond 007: Blood Stone', acted like 'posh Paris Hilton'
Joss Stone plays a virtual Bond girl in the new video game James Bond 007: Blood Stone, where a femme fatale set to her likeness teams up with the British spy that is portrayed by 007 movie actor Daniel Craig, although it is unclear if she will reprise her role in a film.
She portrays jewelry designer and socialite Nicole Hunter and told the UK Press association news wire she played her role "a bit like a posh version of Paris Hilton."
"You know she hangs out with Bond, flirts with him throughout the game, gets herself into trouble," Stone told the BBC . "It's cool isn't it? I'm just gonna throw that out there every five minutes in conversation. Did you know that I'm a Bond girl?"
The Grammy-winning 23-year-old British pop singer has also contributed to the game the single "I'll Take it All," which she co-wrote with Eurythmics star Dave Stewart.
"An international conspiracy has placed the UK's most secretive bio-chemical project into deadly hands and only Her majesty's most lethal agent, James Bond, can unravel the mystery, states a message on the website of the game, distributed by Activision. "To navigate through layers of corruption, you, as Bond, will embark on a global chase that will have you battling on land, sea and air through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok."
Stone said to create her virtual character, she had to be scanned and photographed.
"They'd put me on this round thing and move me a tiny weeny little bit, take a picture a hundred times and then move me again a tiny weeny little bit," she told the BBC. "We went round and did that for hours, it's crazy."
Stone said she personally preferred games without guns, adding: "I like things like Crash Bandicoot and kids games with apples and stuff that you have to eat."
The likeness and voice of Judi Dench, who plays M in recent James Bond Films such as Quantum of Solace in 2008, is also featured on the game, which will be formatted for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and DS and is set to hit stores this holiday season.
Stone played Anne of Cleves in the adult-oriented Showtime series The Tudors, Angela in the 2006 fantasy movie Eragorn and voiced a character on the animated sitcom American Dad.
Many James Bond-licensed video games have been produced. A Wii game for the 1995 film GoldenEye is set to be released with Craig portraying the title character.
Production on the next James Bond film, tentatively titled Bond 23 was canceled earlier this month due to studio MGM's financial problems, Variety had reported. Craig and Dench are reported to reprise their roles in the film, which now has a 2014 release date.
