Jonathan Rhys Meyers is set to star in a new NBC series, "Dracula," which has been officially picked up.
Meyers, 34, is known for playing the dominant King Henry VIII on the popular Showtime series "The Tudors." NBC announced on Tuesday that it has ordered 10 episodes of "Dracula," a new drama series, and confirmed the actor's casting.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers was reportedly hospitalized in London this week, following a possible suicide attempt.
Spokespeople for the "Tudors" actor had no immediate comment on the story, originally published by the UK tabloid The Sun.
