Jonas Brothers cancel tour, there's 'deep rift' within band

10/09/2013 by Corinne Heller

The Jonas Brothers pop group has canceled an upcoming tour just two days before it was set to begin, OTRC.com has confirmed.

Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas were supposed to begin performing a series of concerts in the United States and Canada on Friday, Oct. 11. The group's spokesman, Jesse Derris, confirmed in a statement obtained by OTRC.com on Wednesday that the tour was canceled because of creative differences.

"There is a deep rift within the band," Derris told People magazine in a story posted on Wednesday, adding that the three singers had argued over the weekend about "their music direction."

Derris added that people who purchased tickets will receive refunds.

Hundreds of tickets were still available for sale on Wednesday. The Jonas Brothers singers have not yet commented about the matter on social media.

The news comes a day after the group performed at the international charity and youth movement Free The Children's We Day Minnesota event. Watch a video of their performance below.
