Jonah Hill to host 'Saturday Night Live' - see sneak peek video
Jonah Hill is set to host the March 10 episode of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and revealed his plans for the episode, which will be his second time hosting the comedy sketch show.
"You just try not to fall on your face," Jonah told Access Hollywood. "I think I did pretty well the first time, but now it's [the] sophomore slump. [I've] got to get over the sophomore slump."
The 28-year-old actor did some kissing during his first time hosting in 2008, but has new plans for Saturday's show.
"I don't know if I make out with anyone this go around," Hill told the entertainment show. "It's too early in the week. I'm accused of having sex with Fred Armisen, playing a monkey - not to give too much away. It's alleged. It's not totally grounded in truth yet, we'll see what happens."
Hill can be seen next in the film adaptation of "21 Jump Street," which stars Channing Tatum and Ice Cube and is set for release on March 16. Tatum hosted the February 4th episode of "Saturday Night Live" and might make an cameo on Saturday's episode.
"I think Channing's coming to the show, maybe I'll be able to sneak him in somewhere," Hill hinted.
Even though they play the odd couple in the comedy flick, the pair became close while filming "21 Jump Street" and got bromantic in a recent interview with Parade magazine.
"People ask if we would have been friends in high school because in the movie our characters weren't friends, but I think we would have been best friends in high school," Hill told Parade. "We are from very different places, but we have very similar morals on friendship. I've rarely gotten along with someone as well as this guy. We hang out all the time. Last night, I was like, 'I miss Chan. I haven't seen him in a few hours.' He was in the same hotel, and I wanted to see what he was up to!"
Hill recently received his first Oscar nomination for Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in "Moneyball." The actor has also been nominated for a BAFTA Film Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for the role.
In "Moneyball," Jonah Hill plays Peter Brand, a sabermetrics whiz who helps Brad Pitt's character Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, improve the team and recruit solid players who might be overlooked.
Hill was born Jonah Hill Feldstein and comes from Los Angeles. He worked for his friend's brother, folding boxes, before he caught his big acting break with David O. Russell's 2004 film "I Heart Huckabees," which stars Dustin Hoffman.
Hill was romantically linked to Hoffman's daughter, 24-year-old Ali Hoffman. He later starred in Judd Apatow's comedy films "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up" and had leading roles in "Superbad" and the 2010 film "Get Him to the Greek," which stars Russell Brand and Diddy.
Aside from "21 Jump Street," Hill will also appear opposite Ben Stiller in the comedy "Neighborhood Watch," which hits theaters in July.
