Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman star in Paul McCartney's 'My Valentine' music video - Watch
Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman star in Paul McCartney's new music video, "My Valentine," which premiered on April 13.
The video, which was based on an original idea by the former Beatle's daughter Stella McCartney, features Depp and Portman performing sign language and mouthing the words to the song, which appeared on his most recent solo album, "Kisses on the Bottom." Depp also performs a guitar solo in the video, a task which was handled by Eric Clapton in the original studio version.
There are three music videos for the song, two featuring the stars alone and one with Portman and Depp together (Watch below). The video was directed by Paul McCartney, with the help of "Inception" cinematographer Wally Pfister, editor Paul Martinez and producer Susanne Preissler.
The black-and-white video was celebrated at a star-studded premiere on Friday night. Guests included Gwen Stefani, Stella and Paul McCartney, Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zooey Deschanel, Linda Ramone, Joan Jett, and Ginnifer Goodwin (See photos from the premiere).
Portman previously appeared in McCartney's 2007 music video for "Dance Tonight," which was directed by Michel Gondry.
McCartney's "Kisses on the Bottom" was released in February and landed in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Jazz Chart. The singer and songwriter was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 9. He was the last member of the Beatles to get his own star.
McCartney last made headlines in October, when he wed American heiress Nancy Shevell at a central London town hall. McCartney and Shevell attended the music video premiere of "My Valentine" together.
