John Travolta and Kelly Preston welcome baby son, Benjamin
John Travolta and actress wife Kelly Preston recently welcomed a baby, Benjamin, following the tragic death of their son Jett in 2009.
The 56-year-old actor and Preston, 48, also have a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.
"John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family," the family said in a statement carried by People magazine. "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."
Baby Benjamin was born on Tuesday in a Florida hospital, the magazine said. Preston, who has been married to Travolta since 1991 and has starred in films such as "The Last Song" with Miley Cyrus, announced in May that she was expecting a child. During her pregnancy, the two visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the new theme park based on the fictional teen wizard in Orlando, Florida, and celebrated with a baby shower attended by 40 of their friends.
In January 2009, the couple's 16-year-old autistic son Jett died after suffering a seizure at the family's home in the Bahamas.
Travolta is known for films such as "Grease" and "Pulp Fiction" and Preston starred in films such as "The Last Song" with Miley Cyrus and "Jerry Maguire". The pair and their daughter also appeared together in the 2009 movie "Old Dogs" with Robin Williams.More OnTheRedCarpet.com
