John Leguizamo's Broadway show 'Ghetto Klown' to open on March 22
John Leguizamo's new Broadway solo show "Ghetto Klown" is set to open officially on Tuesday, March 22.
The production began previews in February and is set to run until July 10. "Ghetto Klown" depicts highlights from Leguizamo's personal and professional life, showcasing his childhood in Queens and his rise to fame in Hollywood.
The 46-year-old actor has starred in movies such as "Moulin Rouge!" and "Super Mario Bros" and voiced Sid the sloth in the animated "Ice Age films. He recently had a small part in the new movie "The Lincoln Lawyer," which stars Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei and Ryan Phillippe.
Leguizamo won an Emmy for a television production of his stage monologue "Freak," which appeared on Broadway in 1998, and earned Tony nominations for solo shows "Sexaholix" and "Freak."
