However, a successful acting career isnt the only victory for the 58 year-old actor. He recently shed 100 pounds and opened up to People about his weight loss.

"I know it sounds sappy, but it was a waste," Goodman said. "It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you're going to eat next ... I wanted to live life better."

Goodman recently showed off his trimmer figure at AFI Tribute to Mike Nichols. He reveals to the magazine that he quit drinking three years ago and hired health coach Mackie Shilstone, who is responsible for sculpting the toned bodies some of the worlds most famous athletes, like tennis star Serena Williams.

John is very agile. When I see him running I get out of the way, Shilstone told the magazine. He can be a different type of actor now.

Goodman says he also owes his new body to removing sugar from his diet and working out with Shilstone six days a week. "I just ordered some nice slacks," Goodman says. "I finally got them and they're too big now."

It was also recently announced by Pixar that Monsters Inc. 2, which Goodman and co-star Billy Crystal lend their voices to furry monsters, will be released on Nov. 2, 2012 exactly 11 years after the original.
