"Community" star Joel McHale said in a recent interview that he's well aware that there are gay rumors about him and the actor said he finds the rumors "flattering."

When asked by The Advocate about a previous comment he made to the magazine about people who believe he is gay because he dresses well, McHale said, "Oh, I still see that on Twitter every day. It's flattering."

"I always find it really weird when guys flip out over someone thinking they might be gay," he added. "If a guy gets offended by that, there's something's wrong with him. I take it as a compliment."

McHale, who is also known as the host of the E! show "The Soup," married his wife Sarah Williams in 1996. McHale and his wife also have two young sons, Edward and Isaac.

The 41-year-old actor was also asked by the magazine about his "dude crush."

"Ooh, boy, I have so many," McHale joked. "Josh Gad. Brian Williams. Patrick Stewart. Nathan Fillion. Kobe Bryant. Chaz Bono."

Earlier in the interview, McHale also talked about how important gay fans of "Community" were to the show.

"'Community' needs all the help it can get, so thank God for our gay fans. Our young gay fans especially are the loudest and most Internet-savvy," he said. "That also speaks to the quality of our show, which I think is highly intelligent."

Beyond his duties on "Community" and "The Soup," McHale has also had roles in "Ted," "The Informant!," "What's Your Number?" and "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World."
