Jodie Sweetin of 'Full House' files for legal separation from Morty Coyle
Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the 1990s comedy series "Full House," is splitting from her husband.
The former child star, 31, has legally separated from her husband of more than one year, Morty Coyle, according to People magazine.
The court documents, which were obtained by the outlet, were filed in Los Angeles and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the split.
Sweetin is seeking custody of the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Beatrix, as well as ownership of their vehicle, a 2000 Toyota Avalon.
While the actress didn't comment directly about the matter, she took to Twitter to respond to celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, after he posted the story about her separation. After he commented "sending you good vibes," she posted: ":) Thank you! It's never easy."
The split marks the third for Sweetin who also has a daughter, Zoie, 5, with ex-husband Cody Herpin. Her first marriage was to Shaun Holguin and lasted from 2002 to 2006.
Sweetin and Coyle, who is the lead singer of All Day Sucker, wed on March 15, 2012 after a year-long engagement. While they chose to keep the details of their special day private, on their one-year anniversary, they "felt it was time to share."
In April 2013, Sweetin released details regarding the ceremony that occurred one year prior, including who her guests were and what her dress looked like. The star also shared a quiet anniversary Tweet with Coyle in March, posting: "Happy 1st Anniversary to my wonderful and amazing husband @DJMortyCoyle !! Love you so very, very much xo."
