Jimmy Kimmel's special 'Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards' to guest Tom Hanks
Jimmy Kimmel will be broadcasting his sixth consecutive special live show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards" from El Capitan Entertainment Center in Hollywood on Sunday, February 27.
Two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks will be joining Kimmel as a special guest and there will be special appearances from Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria and Kelly Ripa, among others. Kimmel also promises to reveal his secret for keeping the hottest bodies in Hollywood in shape.
Previous "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards" celebrations have included Hollywood heavyweights like Mel Gibson, Robert Downey Jr., John Stewart and Ellen DeGeneres. During the 2008 special, Kimmel premiered his now viral videos, "Handsome Men's Club" and "I'm (expletive) Ben Affleck," which was a response to the Emmy Award-winning "I'm (expletive) Matt Damon" video featuring Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" received the 2010 Clio Award for innovative media and promises a hilarious after Oscar party.
In December, ABC confirmed that the comedian has signed a new two-year contract with the station to continue hosting and serve as an executive producer on his late-night program "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" which means the show will go on at least ten seasons.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards" will air live on Sunday, February 27 at 12 a.m. ET on ABC.
