Jim Carrey explains graffiti: 'I didn't tag my house'
Actor and comedian Jim Carrey has raised eyebrows after being photographed spraying a colorful design on the outer wall of a New York house over the weekend but the actor says the property is not his home.
"Incase u believe wht u read in papers n blogs i didn't tag my house," Carrey Tweeted late on Tuesday, September 6. "It's my art studio, a simple space where i can unleash my #Boing ?B^"
A photo of the actor spray-painting the property was posted on the website of E! News. The 49-year-old actor, who often references the word "boing" in his Tweets, also posted a picture of his latest abstract creation.
"When I was filming in New York, I did 30 paintings and I was literally tripping over paintings in my apartment," he said.
Carrey also raised eyebrows last month when he posted a video declaring his love for actress Emma Stone, who is 22 and less than half his age. He said on his Twitter page that his video was a "comedy routine," adding: "The funniest part is that everything i said is tru."
Comedienne and actress Kathy Griffin, 50, later spoofed Carrey's video, declaring her love for 17-year-old pop star Justin Bieber.
