Jewel released from the hospital and Tweeting after getting hit by a fire truck
Singer and soon to be mom Jewel says she's "fine" after a collision with a fire truck left her hospitalized on Friday.
"Hey everyone-just got released from the ER & my Dr's office- everything is fine-me & the baby r ok," The singer Tweeted late Friday. "Thanx 4 all your thoughts & prayers."
She added on Saturday, "Dr said no working out- so I'm going to take it easy this weekend. Just a little sore and banged up- but feeling so blessed this morning."
The singer even took the time to plug Cadillac, which she claims saved her life during the accident. "1 thing I do know is my car saved my & baby's life-definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!"
"Jewel was hit by a fire truck this morning in Texas," the singer's spokesperson said in a statement to People magazine the day of the accident. "The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby and doing fine."
The 36-year-old singer and co-host of the new Bravo reality talent series, "Going Platinum," and Murray, a rodeo star, married in 2008. "Going Platinum," a 10-episode reality contest for singer-songwriters, is set to debut later this year and is set to be co-hosted by Kara DioGuardi, a former "American Idol" judge.
