Jessica Simpson's parents' divorce finalized
Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson have officially divorced after 34 years of marriage.
The pair, who are parents to starlets Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson, originally filed a divorce petition in McLennan County, Texas on September 24. The union is officially over, according to E! Online.
The pair had submitted the papers amid tabloid reports about Joe's personal life.
"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved," a rep told E! Online on October 22. "Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."
According to the couple's original petition, their marriage had "become insupportable because of the discord or conflict of personalities between [Tina] and [Joe]" which prevented "any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
Joe is a former minister who now manages his daughter's careers. The patriarch made headlines after saying of his daughter Jessica: "She just is sexy. If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she's sexy in both. She's got double D's! You can't cover those suckers up!"
Joe and Tina's divorce marks the third for the Simpson family. Jessica filed for a divorce from Nick Lachey in 2005 while Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from Pete Wentz in 2011.
Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson welcomed their first child, daughter Maxwell Drew, on May 1. On December 25, the performer announced that she was expecting her second child with the former football player.
Ashlee Simpson is mother to Bronx Mowgli Wentz, her 4-year-old son with her ex-husband, Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz. She was romantically linked to "Boardwalk Empire" star Vincent Piazza for a year and a half before calling it quits in November 2012.
