Jessica Simpson: I want to look like Jessica Alba after I give birth

01/04/2012 by Olivia Allin

Jessica Simpson is expecting her first child in the spring, but she already has her sights set on a bikini body, like that of her friend Jessica Alba.

"New goal: look like @jessicaalba after baby. Job well done lady!" Simpson, 31, Tweeted on Tuesday.

Alba, who has made headlines recently for flaunting her bikini body on vacation, five months after welcoming her second daughter Haven with husband Cash Warren, was flattered and responded on Twitter, "OMG! Ur so sweet! Thx hon!"

Alba will likely have some parenting advice for Simpson. The pair recently hung out at a Yale University 10-year reunion with their significant others, who both graduated from the Ivy League college in 2001.

Simpson confirmed on October 31 that she and fiancé Eric Johnson, 31, are expecting their first child. Simpson and Johnson began dating in May 2010 and announced the following November, after he finalized his divorce from his first wife, that they are engaged. No wedding date has been announced.

While in November Simpson said her pregnancy caused her to crave fruits like cantaloupe, she recently told Rachael Ray that she's also been craving peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

"This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," Simpson told Ray, according to Us Weekly. "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

Simpson has in recent years focused on her fashion endeavors. Her collections of apparel, perfume and other products, which are marketed to young women, have raked in almost $1 billion in sales.

The singer launched her own line of diamond jewelry with Zales and also teamed up with celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to launch BeautyMint, an online portal that sells anti-aging skincare.

She is also lending her fashion business sense to up-and-coming designers on the NBC reality series "Fashion Star" as a mentor.
