Jessica Simpson pregnant with 2nd child, shares Christmas picture (Photo)
Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child, more than six months after she gave birth to her and fiance Eric Johnson's first baby, daughter Maxwell Drew.
On Christmas Day, December 25, Simpson posted on Twitter a photo of her daughter, dressed in a red and white striped onesie, sitting on a patch of sand with the words "BIG SIS" scrawled in it, surrounded by leaves.
"Merry Christmas from my family to yours!" she Tweeted.
Her rep confirmed to OTRC.com that the singer is pregnant.Us Weekly had reported in late November that the 32-year-old singer and fashion businesswoman was expecting again.
Simpson has often posted family photos on Twitter during holidays. She posted a photo of herself with Johnson and their daughter standing with fireworks behind them a day after the 4th of July. She also shared a photo of her fiance with their baby on Thanksgiving on her website.
Simpson had been criticized by many people online over her weight gain during her first pregnancy, which some said was excessive, and over her figure in the weeks after giving birth. She signed a multi-million dollar deal to become a spokesmodel for Weight Waters and debuted a slimmer figure at Dillard's at International Plaza on November 17. It is unclear if she will continue to film ads for the company while pregnant.
ABC News reported that she has lost 60 pounds since giving birth in May. Simpson told the outlet in September that she gave up macaroni and cheese, her favorite pregnancy craving, and that: "After having the baby, I've had to really, really focus and start training."
Simpson, who is 5'4" tall, has said in the past that when she posed nude and pregnant on the April 2012 cover of Elle Magazine, she weighed 170 pounds.
Simpson is meanwhile also gearing up for the second installment of her reality show "Fashion Star." NBC announced in October that Louise Roe, Glamour Magazine's Fashion Editor-At-Large, will host the reality show's new season. The show does not yet have a premiere date but is expected to debut "early next year," according to a statement from the network.
