Jessica Simpson lost 60 lbs of baby weight in 6 months - report
Jessica Simpson has shed 60 pounds since she give birth to her and fiance Eric Johnson's daughter, Maxwell, six months ago, a report says.
The 32-year-old singer and fashion mogul was earlier this year made a spokesperson for Weight Watchers. She debuted a slimmer than usual look at Dillard's at International Plaza to promote her Jessica Simpson Collection on November 17 in Tampa, Florida (see photo), wearing a hot pink jacket over a printed top and distressed blue jeans.
ABC News reported that she has lost 60 pounds since giving birth in May. Simpson told the outlet in September that she gave up macaroni and cheese, her favorite pregnancy craving, and that: "After having the baby, I've had to really, really focus and start training."
That month, the singer first revealed her post-baby body to fans on Twitter on the debut episode of Katie Couric's new daytime talk show "Katie." She said at the time she had lost 40 pounds since she gave birth.
Simpson, who is 5'4" tall, has said in the past that when she posed nude and pregnant on the April 2012 cover of Elle Magazine, she weighed 170 pounds.
Her first Weight Watchers commercial has been airing over the past few weeks but does not feature a full-body shot of Simpson. She recently filmed another one and posted a photo from the shoot on her website. It showed a woman resembling her wearing an all-black outfit consisting of a career dress and tights.
"I really didn't want it to be about my weight because I know that everybody has their weight and has their own issues and I really wanted it to be about the spirit of Weight Watchers and how I was feeling," Simpson said about her first commercial, during her "Katie" interview.
"I wanted to talk directly to people and so I didn't want the big body reveal moment. It's just not really who I am and Weight Watchers was on board with that thankfully," she said, adding: "I set small goals for myself so I can achieve them every week, which has been great. I've lost weight every week, thank god, but I've worked really, really hard."
She added that she is gearing up to shoot the next season of her reality show "Fashion Star" and is about 10 pounds away from her goal weight to wear designer duds for the program.
