Jessica Alba welcomes second child, a baby girl
Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren recently welcomed their second child, a baby girl.
"Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren," Alba, 30, said on her Facebook page. "She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs, and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family."
The actress made the announcement on Sunday, five days before the release of her new film "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D," which hits theaters on August 19.
She and Warren, a 32-year-old producer, married in May 2008. Their first baby, daughter Honor Marie, was born the following June. Alba announced in February that she was pregnant with her second child.
Alba told Latina Magazine in an interview published in July that her first daughter changed her perspective on life, saying: "Before I had her, work was all I had. Now it's not."
Alba is best known for sexy female leading roles in action films such as "Sin City" in 2005 and the "Fantastic Four" movies and also appeared in the comedy movie "Little Fockers" last year.
In her latest film, "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D," she plays a secret agent who comes out of retirement and recruits her two stepchildren to try to stop the villain The Timekeeper, portrayed by Jeremy Piven. The film also stars returning stars Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara as well as Joel McHale from the NBC comedy series "Community" and the E! show "The Soup."
