'Jersey Shore' stars father doesnt understand why people are drawn to the show The father of Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi spoke with the New York Times recently and seems to be confused as to why audiences are drawn to the wild antics of his daughter.

When we go to venues, I like to stand out in the crowd, Andy Polizzi said. Shell be up there hooting and hollering, and Ill say to someone, What is it that draws you to my daughter? Be honest. Because its very hard for me to see what it is. She dont sing. She dont dance. I dont want to say she dont have talent ...

He eventually comes up with his own explanation saying, Everyone basically says they can relate to her. I think Nicoles just a likeable person.

The article also delves into Snookis personal history. She was adopted by the Polizzi family at 6 months-old after her birth in Chile. She is an only child andm, according to an old friend, couldve been cast in Mean Girls when she was in high school.  She loves to be the center of attention, Stephanie Greiner told the New York Times. Nicole was also kind of a mean girl in high school. She was the boss of everybody.

The article also reveals that her father manages her finances, which might be a good thing since the cast recently signed a new deal with MTV for a third season of the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the groups contract negotiations held up production for the second half of season two. The cast initially asked for $30,000 per episode up from their current salary of $10,000 an episode.

Snooki also says shes only read two books in her life: Twilight and Dear John.

Season two of Jersey Shore premieres July 29.
