Entertainment News: jeremy renner
Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner and his girlfriend Sonni Pacheco recently welcomed a baby girl named Ava Berlin Renner, a spokesperson for the couple confirmed to People magazine on Friday, March 29.
The baby weighed in at 7 pounds and according the spokesperson told the magazine, "They are beyond thrilled."
Jeremy Renner's career went into fast drive after getting an Oscar nomination for his role in the 2008 film "The Hurt Locker," but his newest role in "Bourne Legacy" will only bring more fame and subsequently, more rumors.
The actor, who has been romantically linked in the tabloids to Jessica Simpson and his "Avengers" co-star Scarlett Johansson, has also faced speculation about his sexual orientation.
Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton, who star as the title characters in "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters," talked about their "instant chemistry" while working on the fantasy film.
"Her [Arterton] audition tape was amazing, and we spoke on the phone," Renner explained to OTRC.com's George Pennacchio. "And then, I told her kind of where I was coming from and what I was really thinking for this, for us - cause it's not really Hansel and it's not Gretel - it's a team sort of effort. Like Tommy [director] was saying, it's just the chemistry thing, it was really important - so even over the phone, I felt like we were kind of on the same page."
Rachel Weisz turned heads at the New York premiere for her 2012 action thriller "The Bourne Legacy" on July 30, dazzling in a classy black gown.
The actress, 42, donned a long black Christian Dior Couture gown from the fall 2012 collection. Weisz paired the elegant dress with a pair of bow-embellished Christian Loubouton T-strap sandals and a messy up-do. The actress carried a clutch by Pandora Domino and set off her sophisticated ensemble with a bright red lip color (See more photos from the premiere).
Jeremy Renner, who is currently promoting his highly-anticipated action film "The Bourne Legacy," recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and shared what happened when a friend gave him the sexual stimulant Viagra instead of the sleeping pill Ambien.
"You know, I just realized how much traveling I do. And a lot of times, when you're on the plane, you have to sleep, and I can't sleep on a plane," Renner told Kimmel on July 24. "I remember I had to fly from London to Los Angeles for dinner, and then get right back on the plane to London. I had to sleep on the plane, so somebody gave me some pills, the Ambien, so great."
Jeremy Renner has made his first appearance as Matt Damon's replacement in a teaser trailer for "The Bourne Legacy."
The trailer, which was released by Universal Pictures on Wednesday, introduces Renner's character as "Kenneth Kitson from Reno," an unpredictable wounded soldier who is recruited by the government branch to become a CIA agent.
Jeremy Renner was not injured in a bloody bar fight in Thailand, despite recent reports, the actor's spokesperson says.
The Phuket Gazette reported that Renner, who turns 41 on Saturday, was drinking at a bar at the Sri Panwa Resort with General Manager Vorasit Issara, who at one point dropped his glass. This sparked a fight and several men stabbed and attacked him in the neck with an axe, the report said, adding that six staff members were arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Matt Damon will not appear in the upcoming "Bourne" spy film and is apparently embarrassed to have been involved with the franchise's last installment, "The Bourne Ultimatum."
"It's really the studio's fault for putting themselves in that position," Damon told GQ magazine for their January issue. "I don't blame [screenwriter] Tony [Gilroy] for taking a boatload of money and handing in what he handed in. It's just that it was unreadable. This is a career-ender. I mean, I could put this thing up on eBay and it would be 'Game Over' for that dude. It's terrible. It's really embarrassing. He was having a go, basically, and he took his money and left."
