Jensen Ackles of 'Supernatural,' wife Danneel Harris expecting first child

Jensen Ackles of "Supernatural" is gearing up to be a new dad.

Ackles, 34, is expecting his first child with wife Danneel Harris, according to People magazine. The pair are expecting their bundle of joy sometime later this year.

Harris, 33, is also an actress, best known for her roles as Shannon on "One Life to Live" and Rachel on "One Tree Hill." She has also appeared in films such as "The Roommate" and "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay."

"Thank you for all the well wishes. We are very excited about our soon to be new addition," the actress Tweeted on January 6.

The pair married in a private ceremony in 2010 in Ackles' hometown of Dallas, Texas.

Ackles is known for his roles in television shows such as "Smallville" and films such as the 2009 horror flick "My Bloody Valentine."
