Jennifer Lawrence's accused stalker arrested
Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to making headlines, but this time, the actress was involved in a scary ordeal.
The 22-year-old starlet, known for her roles in films including "Silver Linings Playbook" and "The Hunger Games," is facing some relief after her family's alleged stalker was arrested on May 19, according to ABC News.
According to court documents, the alleged stalker, Han Cong Zhao, found Lawrence's brother's information on a website for her family's summer camp for kids. After repeated calls, emails and text messages went unanswered, the fan allegedly became more aggressive in trying to meet the family in person.
Once the alleged stalker was in the actress' hometown in Kentucky, prosecutors say that he left Lawrence a number of threatening voicemails, one such message saying: "When I'm upset, wait and see what happens."
Zhao was arrested when he asked police for help contacting Lawrence's parents, according to the outlet. Following that incident, he went back to the police with two letters written to Lawrence.
The Canadian citizen is now being held on $100,000 bail, according to the news outlet. Zhao is due back in court for his trial in July.
The actress has been turning heads recently due to her red carpet style -- and, her love life.
In late April, Lawrence and her "X-Men: First Class" co-star, Nicholas Hoult -- who dated for two years before splitting in January -- were spotted together at The Little Door, a romantic French restaurant in Hollywood.
Lawrence also recently made headlines in late April when she debuted her new, short hair style at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. The shoulder-length style, which The New York Times dubbed the "haircut of the year," features side-swept bangs and soft layers (Check out PHOTOS).
