Jennifer Aniston talks hippies, stoners and Hacky Sack (Video)
Jennifer Aniston says that unlike her character in "Wanderlust," she has never experienced the "hippie life."
"I've done, like, fake hippie life," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com correspondent Tony Cabrera at the movie's recent Los Angeles premiere. "Central Park and hanging out with stoners that play Hacky Sack but because they're so stoned, they can't play the Hacky Sack."
"Wanderlust" hits theaters on Friday. The movie reunites Aniston with Paul Rudd, her co-star in "The Object of My Affection." The two play a couple that leaves their city lives and lands in a clothing-optional hippie commune where they meet Seth, who is played by Justin Theroux, the actress' real-life boyfriend.
The couple both attended the premiere for "Wanderlust" but posed separately.
Aniston donned a knee-length, form-fitting Tom Ford dress that she paired with black Christian Louboutin pumps. The dress, which is from the designer's spring 2012 collection, features leather trim and a frill at the waist, giving Aniston a curvier figure. Aniston topped off the chic black and white ensemble with gold cuffs. (See more photos from the event).
Akerman told OnTheRedCarpet.com that it was a little awkward being around the people playing nudists while filming "Wanderlust."
"It was more just like, I really don't know where to look, when you're standing there, and you're trying to talk to them and you're going, 'Wow, this is so hard not to look down right now,'" she said. "But other than that, it was just kind of cool that they were super comfortable just standing around naked. I'm sure it felt nice."
On Wednesday, two days before the film's release, Aniston received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Theroux and her father, a soap opera star, attended the event. "Wanderlust" co-stars Malin Akerman and Kathryn Hahn and Adam Sandler, who appeared with Aniston in the 2011 movie "Just Go With It," gave speeches, as did the actress herself.
"This is crazy. I mean, literally. I mean, I walk the streets of Hollywood Boulevard," Aniston told the crowd, which responded with laughter. "Oh please, I didn't mean it like that. Well I think we're about to get on all fours too, so this could be very interesting."
The 43-year-old Emmy winner also had her handprints and footprints immortalized in cement near Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre in July 2011.
Aniston is the first former cast member from the hit show "Friends" to receive such honors. Her star is located at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of The W Hollywood Hotel.
