Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts' and wife Allison welcome second child

It's a boy for Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus.

The musician and his wife Allison welcomed their second child on Friday, July 20, according to People magazine. The couple named the child Dylan Jay DeMarcus. The baby arrived at 4 p.m. in a Nashville, Tennessee hospital and weighed 7 pound and 11 ounces.

A spokesperson for the musician told the magazine that Allison and the baby are "doing well in a local hospital."

DeMarcus was reportedly in Detroit for a performance with the Rascal Flatts on Friday but flew out just in time to see the birth of his son.

Dylan joins older sister Madeline Leigh into the family. The couple's first child was born on Dec. 17, 2010. Allison's second pregnancy was first announced on January 25.

DeMarcus and his wife met when she appeared in a video for Rascal Flatts and wed in May 2004 in a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. Allison DeMarcus is a former Miss Tennessee and currently works as a personality on the CMT.
