Jason Bateman, wife Amanda Anka welcome second child
Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka welcomed their second child on Friday, February 10.
The actor's rep told People magazine that the couple welcomed a baby girl named Maple Sylvie Bateman.
Bateman and his wife have been married since July 2001, and they have a 5-year-old daughter named Francesca Nora.
Proud grandpa Paul Anka told ET Canada in August 2011 that the couple is expecting another baby girl.
Bateman, 43, recently appeared in the summer comedy, "The Change-Up," which depicts the hijinks that ensue after a married man switches bodies with his single best friend. The film also stars Ryan Reynolds, Olivia Wilde and Leslie Mann.
Bateman also appeared in the comedy "Horrible Bosses" opposite Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell.
The actor has been working steadily since appearing on "Little House on the Prairie" in 1981. He has also appeared in films like "Juno," "Up in the Air" and "The Switch."
He will next appear opposite Olivia Wilde and Billy Crudup in "The Longest Week" which follows an affluent but aimless hotel heir (Crudup) who gets evicted, disinherited and falls in love in the span of a week.
