James Van Der Beek Tweets wedding announcement
First Chelsea Clinton, then Alicia Keys, now actor James Van Der Beek says he married girlfriend Kimberly Brook on Sunday.
The former Mercy actor made the announcement on his official Twitter page saying, The woman I love did me the honor of became [sic] my wife today... I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life." Van Der Beek and Brook are expecting a daughter, their first child, in the fall. His representative has yet to confirm the news.
"Right now it's a lot more excitement than it is adjustment," Van Der Beek told OnTheRedCarpet.com back in late June about his impeding fatherhood. "The adjustment comes when the baby arrives."Earlier in the day the actor Tweeted, "Best day of my life so far..."
Van Der Beek finalized his divorce from actress Heather McComb in early June. The two married in 2003 and had no children.
Van Der Beek is best known as Dawson Leery from the hit drama series Dawson's Creek, which ran between 1998 and 2003. He also starred in the 1999 film Varsity Blues and played Joe Briggs in the medical drama Mercy, which was canceled in May.
