Jaleel White is 'sexy' and 'a natural,' 'Dancing With The Stars' partner Kym Johnson says
Jaleel White, who played Steve Urkel on "Family Matters," has been cast on the ABC show "Dancing With The Stars" 14th season and his partner, Kym Johnson, says he's "sexy" and "a "natural" dancer.
The celebrity contestants were revealed on the network's daytime program, "Good Morning America," on Tuesday, February 28, weeks before the March 19 premiere.
"Jaleel is a natural," Johnson, 35, told OnTheRedCarpet.com after the announcement. "We were strangers and then we just met yesterday and I've got him doing some moves and he's got natural ability, which is great."
She said on "Good Morning America" earlier: He's adorable. "He walked in and he was sexy and all buff and I was like, 'Oh, okay.'"
Among the other cast members are Melissa Gilbert, a 47-year-old actress who rose to fame as a child star with the show "Little House on the Prairie," and Roshon Fegan, a 20-year-old singer who stars in the Disney Channel series "Shake It Up!." Gilbert will perform with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, while the actor will perform with pro dancer Chelsie Hightower. Sherri Shepherd, an 47-year-old actress and comedienne who co-hosts the ABC show "The View," will dance with Chmerkovskiy's brother, Valentin.
"This is the competition right here," she said about White, 35. She showed off some of her dance moves while joking around with her partner, White, 35, and Johnson. "We got some lift," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "Can we do lifts? Anybody who can lift a hundred and se... pounds is good in my book."
"I have my professional dance partner - my mirror. I do take dance lessons," she added. "I drop it like it's hot for my husband all the time."
White has already made his "Dancing With The Stars" prediction.
"I want to start a betting pool right now that Sherri Shepherd's going to outlast Roshon and Chelsie Hightower," he said.
