Jaime Pressly charged with Driving Under the Influence - see mug shot
Actress Jaime Pressly has been formally charged with driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol content of .20 or higher by prosecutors in California on Tuesday, reports The Associated Press.
The charges, both misdemeanors, come after the 33-year-old was arrested January 5. Santa Monica police say she was stopped for a traffic violation. She was released after posting $15,000 bail.
Pressly has not commented on the matter.
The actress recently filed for divorce from her husband of 15-months, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, citing irreconcilable differences.
The divorce papers, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, cited December 27 as the date of separation. The couple had no children together and Pressly is seeking to deny Singh any spousal support.
Pressly and Singh got married in September 2009 at the Dick Clark estate in Malibu. The actress has a 3-year-old son, Dezi with her former fiancé Eric Cubiche.
The actress played Joy Turner on "My Name is Earl," which starred Jason Lee, from 2005 to 2009. She has also starred in films such as "Can't Hardly Wait" in 1998 and "I Love You Man" in 2009.
