Jacoby Jones, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, to compete on 'Dancing With The Stars'
One cast member of the new season of "Dancing With The Stars" has been revealed and it is a recent Super Bowl champion.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones has been tapped as the newest contestant to join the reality competition dance show's 16th season. He was announced on Sunday, February 24, in a commercial about the show's new season during the Oscars.
The show confirmed Jones' casting in a Tweet later that evening. The other new contestants will be announced Tuesday, February 26, on "Good Morning America." The show premieres March 18. Be sure to check back with OTRC.com for photos and more information about the new cast.
Jones, 28, isn't the first NFL player to compete in the show. In fact, three other NFL players have won the competition, including Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward and Donald Driver.
Jones was one of the Ravens' stars in their Super Bowl victory earlier this month. He scored two touchdowns and even danced in the end zone.
Last season of "Dancing With The Stars" was an All-Star season and reality star Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony Dovolani won. It was the first trophy for Rycroft and the first for dance pro Dovolani.
