JWOWW to co-host MTV New Year's Eve special, set to appear on diving show
Jenni "JWOWW" Farley of "Jersey Shore" fame recently nabbed not one, but two new television gigs.
The 27-year-old reality star was announced on Thursday, December 6, as a co-host for MTV's New Year's Eve special called "MTV's Club NYE 2013." Her "Snooki & JWOWW" co-star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and comedian Jeff Dye will co-host the special with Farley from Times Square in New York City.
"MTV's Club NYE 2013" will also feature performances from Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Rita Ora and others. That show is set to air at 11 p.m. Eastern on December 31.
Fox also announced on December 6 that Farley will appear on the celebrity diving special called "Stars in Danger: The High Dive."
The show is based on a long-running German format and is described in a statement by the network as "the ultimate test for eight celebrities who will step to the edge and take a flying leap or momentous belly flop into diving history."
The celebrities will be trained in diving techniques by coaches and will compete in a series of Olympic-style dives like solo high dicing and synchronized diving.
Other celebrities participating include "Baywatch" actress Alexandra Paul, "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars and sisters Kim and Kyle Richards, professional surfer and inspiration for the film "Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton, "Baywatch" actor David Chokachi, former NFL player Terrell Owens and actor Antonio Sabato Jr.
The two-hour long special is set to premiere on January 9 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
