Fans of "Harry Potter" might have something else to be excited about than the final movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," hitting theatres on July 15.

The author's spokesperson confirmed to the Associated Press on Thursday that the mysterious PotterMore.com website is a new project by J.K. Rowling. However, according to the spokesperson, the site is not a new "Harry Potter" book and is not directly related to the final Potter movie.

Visitors to PotterMore.com can see a "Coming soon" note with Rowling's signature underneath it surrounded by two owls on branches. Clicking one of the owls leads to a YouTube page, also decorated with owls, with a video dubbed "J.K. Rowling's Announcement" featuring a clock counting down to early Thursday, June 23. Pottermore.com also has a Twitter account.

According to the wire service "Pottermore" was trademarked in 2009 by Warner Bros., the film studio which distributes the "Harry Potter" movies. A trademark description for Pottermore suggests an interactive site "providing on-line chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards" and "on-line facilities for real-time interaction with other computer users concerning topics of general interest."
