The movie is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic 1925 novel of the same name and was directed by Baz Luhrmann. The 3D film stars DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan, Isla Fisher as Myrtle Wilson and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, the narrator. It is set for release on May 10.

The animated film "Rango," which features the voice talents of Johnny Depp, took the top spot for the weekend box office with an estimated $38 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film started out strong easily winning Friday's box office with $9.8 million.
