"Rango" won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film on Sunday, February 26.

The movie, by director Gore Verbinski, beat "A Cat in Paris," "Chico & Rita," "Kung Fu Panda 2" and "Puss in Boots." The winners of the 2012 Academy Awards were announced at a Los Angeles ceremony that aired live on ABC.

Johnny Depp talked to OnTheRedCarpet.com about his role in the computer-animated comedy, "Rango," and how there are a few of his movies that he won't let his kids watch until they're in their thirties.

Depp does the voice of Rango, a pet chameleon who lives in a terrarium and aspires to be a swashbuckling hero suddenly finds himself in a Western town full of bandits. When Rango accidentally kills a giant eagle, the town elects him sheriff and he is forced to become a real hero.

The animated film "Rango," which features the voice talents of Johnny Depp, took the top spot for the weekend box office with an estimated $38 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film started out strong easily winning Friday's box office with $9.8 million.

In "Rango," Depp does the voice of a pet chameleon named Rango, who lives in a terrarium and aspires to be a swashbuckling hero suddenly finds himself in a Western town full of bandits. When Rango accidentally kills a giant eagle, the town elects him sheriff and he is forced to become a real hero.

Isla Fisher, who provides the voice of an iguana in "Rango," says she is "choosier" about her film roles nowadays because she's a mother and adds she is "so lucky" to be in the same movie as Johnny Depp.

"Rango," Johnny Depp's conputer-animated flick has won Friday's Box Office with $9.8 million.

Matt Damon and Emily Blunt's romantic thriller "The Adjustment Bureau" ranks second in the box office, pulling in $6.7 million on Friday. Vanessa Hudgen's "Beastly" is doing better than expected, earning an estimated $3.5 million so far.
