Fans of Disney's "Frozen," good news: That song that's been stuck in your head since you saw the movie will take center stage -- at the Oscars.

Idina Menzel, who sings the soaring track in the animated musical film and plays main character Elsa, will perform the tune at the 2014 ceremony on March 2. The live event airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. "Let It Go," Elsa's anthem, in which she embraces her powers to freeze things and control the weather, is one of four songs nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song this year.

The actress tweeted about the news on Tuesday and wrote, "It's really happening. I'm singing on the Oscars! Surreal. Thank u frozen family and Oscar producers for this incredible opportunity."

Menzel is also known for her Tony-winning role as Elphaba in the Broadway musical "Wicked" and was nominated for a Tony for her performance as Maureen in the origincal production of "Rent," which she later reprised in a film. She is one of the most popular Broadway singers today and is known for her high range.

"Frozen" has made more than $913 million worldwide since it was released in November. The movie also stars Kristen Bell of "Veronica Mars" film as Princess Anna, who is largely kept away from Elsa, her older sister and heir to the throne, during their childhood because their parents become fearful of their elder daughter's growing, seemingly uncontrollable powers. Jonathan Groff plays Kristoff, a mountain man who helps Anna and falls in love with her.

Accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by David Metzger, the two actresses and co-stars Josh Gad, who portrays the goofy snowman Olaf, and Santino Fontana, who portrays Anna's other love interest Hans, reunited for a live performance of the songs of "Frozen" in Los Angeles on Sunday. Check out a video below, as well as a full-length video of Elsa singing "Let It Go" in the movie.
