Hulk Hogan marries Jennifer McDaniel, wedding day marred by photographer scuffle
Hulk Hogan recently married his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel at his Florida home, while a photographer suspected of trying to capture photos of the wedding reportedly engaged in a violent confrontation with one of the wrestling legend's security guards.
Hogan, 57, and McDaniel, 35, reportedly obtained a marriage license in November and have been together for more than two years. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, proposed to his now-second wife in December 2009. His spokesperson told CNN the two wed at the wrestler's home on Tuesday.
Police were called to the residence that afternoon after a call was made about an apparent scuffle between one of Hogan's security guards and a photographer named Robert Martinez that had allegedly tried to obtain a picture of the wedding, CNN reported.
"Man, when you least expect it, it still gets crazy as hell," Hogan wrote on his Twitter page late on Tuesday. "What a day!"
Martinez has not commented. No arrests were made.
CNN quoted a public safety spokesperson for Clearwater, Florida as saying the photographer "approached the rear of the residence in an effort to obtain any possible video or photographs of a wedding ceremony", adding: "This encounter escalated to a physical confrontation that was broken up by responding officers. Both parties agreed to stop and leave the area without incident."
Hogan had revealed in his 2009 autobiography, "My Life Outside the Ring" that he considered suicide in 2007 shortly after Linda Hogan, 50, filed for divorce after 20 years of marriage. Hogan said on his Twitter page recently that McDaniel is "my light that saved me."
Hogan and Linda Hogan finalized their divorce in 2009. Aside from Nick, they have a 22-year-old daughter named Brooke. Linda Hogan is currently engaged to her 21-year-old boyfriend, Charlie Hill.
