Hulk Hogan is hospitalized, has back surgery
Hulk Hogan has been hospitalized and is recovering from back surgery a week after the wrestling legend married girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel.
Hogan, who is 57 and whose real name is Terry Bollea, was also admitted to a medical center in September after complaining of back pain and spasms and underwent surgery in June for an old wrestling injury. Hogan's current ailment is unrelated, E! News said, adding that his recent back operation lasted about 10 hours.
"Going for broke in six hrs," Hogan wrote on his Twitter page on Monday. "Rollin all the marbles,I bet on me..I love all u maniacs! Se all u guys soon."
Hogan and McDaniel, 35, have been together for more than two years. Hogan proposed to his now-second wife in December 2009. The two wed at the wrestler's home on December 14.
Police were called to the residence that afternoon after a call was made about an apparent scuffle between one of Hogan's security guards and a photographer named Robert Martinez that had allegedly tried to obtain a picture of the wedding, CNN reported.
Hogan had revealed in his 2009 autobiography, "My Life Outside the Ring" that he considered suicide in 2007 shortly after Linda Hogan, 50, filed for divorce after 20 years of marriage. Hogan said on his Twitter page recently that McDaniel is "my light that saved me."
Hogan and Linda Hogan finalized their divorce in 2009. Aside from Nick, they have a 22-year-old daughter named Brooke. Linda Hogan is currently engaged to her 21-year-old boyfriend, Charlie Hill.
