Entertainment News: hope solo
Pro-soccer player Hope Solo makes strong accusations against "Dancing With The Stars" cast member Maksim Chmerkovskiy in her new memoir, saying that he was physically aggressive and verbally abusive towards her during their rehearsals last year.
BBC World Productions, which produces the ballroom competition series, and ABC, which airs the show, declined to comment about the matter when reached by OnTheRedCarpet.com. (NOTE: Both ABC, OnTheRedCarpet.com and parent firm KABC Television are owned by the Walt Disney Company.)
There are only four stars left in the "Dancing With The Stars" Semifinals and the stakes are high since only three will make it to next week's Finals for a chance of winning that seductive Mirror Ball Trophy. As if the pressure weren't enough, the celebs had to pull off three(!) different dances - the Paso Doble/Samba, the Argentine Tango and a Cha Cha Relay, where they could receive bonus points to earn an extra edge.
But tonight's episode was a mess of emo, with J.R. Martinez and Hope Solo suffering injuries and all the celebs sharing their life stories in montages of photos, family commentary and admittedly, some tears. But there were also some pleasant surprises on the dance floor and it's anyone's guess who will make it to the end!
Hope Solo says she wishes fans could have seen more of her and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy's "positive moments" on "Dancing With The Stars."
The two were eliminated on Tuesday's results show, leaving fellow celebrities Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez and Rob Kardashian to battle it out to win the 13th season of the ABC reality series.
Hope Solo says she may be an Olympic athlete, but boy is she sore from performing on "Dancing with the Stars."
The 30-year-old starting goalkeeper for the United States women's soccer team and partner Maksim Chmerovskiy, 31, received a score of 27 out of 30 from the judges for their Quickstep, and 25 out of 30 for their Jive in week 8 of ABC's hit celebrity ballroom dancing series. The pair earned the second highest combined score of the night with a 52, placing them in a tie for second with past front-runners Ricki Lake and Derek Hough.
Our first perfect score of the "Dancing with the Stars" season! And Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Len Goodman literally kiss and make up! It came during a double the fun night, with each team taking the floor two times: once with an individual dance and again with the 'instant jive.'
So who scored the perfect 30? It's no surprise to learn that honor goes to J.R. Martinez!
