Alana Thompson, the young beauty-pageant contestant from 'Toddlers & Tiaras,' better known as Honey Boo Boo Child, nabbed her own series on TLC called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" which premiered its first two episodes on Wednesday, August 8.
The series highlights not only the high-energy 6-year-old but also her eccentric Georgia family including mom June and her older sisters Lauryn "Pumpkin," Anna "Chickadee" and Jessica "Chubbs." There's also the father and only man in the family nicknamed "Sugar Bear." Clips from the series can be seen below.
In the debut episode that family attended the Redneck Games, which included events like bobbing for pig's feet and the "Mudpit Belly Flop." The family also bought a tea cup pig named Glitzy.
The series also showed the family coming together to help Honey Boo Boo during her pageants.
"You know that's just us. For the most part that is us every day," June told ABC News. "We're not all about pageants. We are a little redneckish, and we live in Georgia and that's what people do in the country -- get muddy and have fun with the family."
"We're just not like a boring family. We like to have fun and we do whatever pops in our head to a certain extent," she added. "People may call it crazy, but we just call it fun, anything to spend time with one another and pass the time."
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on TLC. Check out clips from the show below.
