Hilary Duff talks motherhood, her son Luca's first holiday season
Hilary Duff loves being a mom - but is she calling it quits after baby Luca Cruz?
"Mike [Comrie] and I are literally obsessed with Luca," Duff told Access Hollywood Live. "We're like, 'He's perfect. We should just be one and done.' But I think once your baby starts getting older you miss that phase and you go in for round two. Maybe when [Luca's] two or three?"
Duff, 25, recently talked to the outlet about her new baby, the holiday season and what she's most excited about. The former Disney star gushed about how baby Luca, 9 months, is taking to the holiday season - and it sounds like he's excited.
"He's into everything. I'm running around the house just trying to keep up with him. He's so fast!" Duff told the outlet. "He loves the Christmas tree. Obviously we have a funny looking Christmas tree [because] all the ornaments are at the top."
Duff and Comrie, a 32-year-old former NHL player, began dating in 2007 and got married on August 14, 2010 in Santa Barbara, California.
The pair, who are set to celebrate the holidays in Newport Beach, are anxious to bring a new special present to their traditional gathering.
"It's nine kids going crazy, basically wrapping paper flying in the air, toys everywhere and mayhem," she continued. "We're really looking forward to that - we get to bring a baby this year! So it's really exciting."
In March 2012, the former Disney star and Comrie welcomed Luca Cruz, and in April the pair debuted the first photos of their bundle of joy (View below).
The photo, taken by Jennifer Wilson and posted on Duff's official Twitter account, features the newborn swaddled in a star-studded blanket, with the caption, "Baby Luca, 2 weeks old."
On December 4, Duff proudly shared a photo of skinny jeans, size 26, on her Twitter account. The actress thanked her trainers for their intense and rigorous workouts in the caption.
Comrie announced his retirement from the NHL on February 13, after his third hip surgery in five years. The Canadian athlete played for Edmonton, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Ottawa, the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh during his career.
Duff is best known for her role as the lead character on the Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire." She had a recurring role on "Gossip Girl" in 2009 and also guest starred on "Community" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The actress is also a best-selling author. Her second novel, "Devoted," was released last October.
