Helen Mirren's pink hair at the 2013 BAFTA Awards explained - Photos
Helen Mirren walked the red carpet at the 2013 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) on February 10 sporting a new look -- pink hair!
The 67-year-old Oscar-winning actress explained the reason behind the new hairdo to reporters at the ceremony.
"I saw it on 'America's Next Top Model,' so I decided to have a go," she reportedly told the press, according to People magazine. The Associated Press reported that the look was in honor of breast cancer awareness.
Mirren paired her bubble-gum colored hair with a white crew-neck Nicholas Oakwell Couture gown, according to the magazine. Check out more BAFTA red carpet fashion here.
The actress was nominated at the ceremony for Leading Actress for her role in "Hitchcock" but lost out to "Amour" actress Emmanuelle Riva. See the full list of BAFTA winners here. Riva is also up for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2013 Oscars.
