Heidi Montag talks plastic surgery: 'I wish I didn't do it'
Heidi Montag, one of the stars of the MTV reality series "The Hills" who once underwent 10 cosmetic procedures in one day, says she wishes she never had plastic surgery.
At the same time, the 24-year-old adds that she does not "regret anything."
Montag made her comments to the website The Daily Beast, which recently featured an interview with her and partner Spencer Pratt, a self-proclaimed "famewhore" who was seen as the villain on "The Hills." The show mostly revolved around the life of fashionista Lauren Conrad, but also about the couple's seemingly turbulent relationship, and ended in 2010 after six seasons.
Physically, Montag appears different today than she did during the debut season of "The Hills" in 2006. She has undergone cosmetic procedures since at least 2007 and in 2009, she had 10 carried out in one day, including a breast augmentation, a nose job revision, a brow lift, Botox and liposuction on her waist, hips and thighs.
"Obviously I wish I didn't do it," Montag told The Daily Beast. "I would go back and not have any surgery. It doesn't help. I got too caught up in Hollywood, being so into myself and my image. I don't regret anything, but if I could go back, I wouldn't do it."
Montag had debuted her latest cosmetic transformation on the cover of People magazine and on the final season of "The Hills."
"I made a lot of wrong decisions too quickly," Montag told The Daily Beast. "So many wrong rights and lefts and then you're just off the road. Things happened so quickly."
In August 2010, Montag's plastic surgeon died in a car crash. The reality star expressed her condolences on her Twitter page, saying: "He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist"
She continues to appear on television and stars in the new VH1 show, "Famous Food," which sees her and other celebrities working to design and open a restaurant. The series airs on Wednesdays.
Montag also made her big-screen acting debut in the movie "Just Go with It," which was released earlier this year and stars Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.
